Klarna Monthly financing

How do instalments work with Klarna?

If you choose the Klarna financing option, you can shop today and split the repayments into fixed or flexible instalments over a period of up to 24 months.

You can opt for Klarna payment by instalments directly at checkout or select the desired payment by instalments as the payment option in the Klarna app (if listed).

You will then receive your regular monthly bill and choose how much you wish to pay (but not less than the minimum amount stated on your monthly bill). The outstanding amount can be repaid in full at any stage. The monthly bill will always be sent out mid-month. If it is the first time that you opt to pay by instalments, we will send you the first monthly bill in the month following receipt of goods.

It is important to always use the same email address when paying by instalments as you did for ordering the goods, otherwise you will create several instalment purchases with each new email address used. This then means that you will have to log into your account or app with every one of the email addresses used, as not all instalment payments via Klarna will be shown if different details (i.e. email addresses) have been used.\

Payment by instalments for a fixed period

Monthly bill

Spread your shopping bill over a period to cover the same monthly repayment amounts. The total amount of your invoice will be broken down into equal amounts across the chosen number of instalments (3-24). Your shopping bill will be added to your ‘payment by instalments’ amount, and you will be sent a monthly bill for all the items you have chosen to pay by instalments.

Please note: If you have chosen to pay for items purchased by ‘fixed’ instalments, you will need to pay the fixed amount and not simply the minimum amount. Otherwise the conditions will be altered to ‘flexible rates’, which are subject to completely different repayment terms. You can always find all amounts and payment details either here or in the Klarna app.

Monthly instalment plan

If you choose the ‘fixed’ instalment plan, you can opt for either 3, 6, 12, 24 or 36 months and will receive a repayment plan applicable to the order using this plan. The 1st payment is due in the month following the delivery of the goods, and the fixed amount agreed will be debited automatically each month from the account given.

Flexible instalment plan

If you have chosen the flexible instalment plan, you can decide how much you pay each month. You pay either the minimum amount stated or pay more than the minimum amount. If you have several bills using this system which are dated differently, the monthly bill will take all these factors into account when stating the minimum amount on the monthly bill. Good to know: If this is the first time you have chosen to pay by instalments, an account will be set up for you. When you opt for a further instalment payment plan, you will only need to confirm your purchase. If you have already taken out an instalment plan, this is always visible here or in the Klarna app.

Simply set up automatic monthly payments for your instalment plan and never miss the due date of your monthly bill. Recurring payments for your instalment plan are automatically debited from your account on the 7th of each month.
